Sara Belli,
Head of Clinical Pharmacology

Sara joined Granite in 2023, bringing 15 years experience in preclinical and clinical drug development. Prior to Granite, Sara served as Senior Principal Clinical Pharmacologist at Roche Pharma where she led multiple clinical teams with respect to clinical dose finding and dose/regimen optimization in oncology with complex-biologic drugs. Other responsibilities included the design and execution of Ph1 studies and the overall Clinical Pharmacology strategy, data analysis and respective regulatory documentations/interactions.

Earlier in her career, Sara was leading several preclinical drug discovery and optimization programs at Roche, where she was mainly responsible for the translational DMPK and PKPD package for first-in-human studies of various therapeutic modalities (small molecules, peptides, conjugates, antibodies) in multiple indications such as neuroscience, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, oncology and nuclear medicine.

Before moving to industry, Sara completed her Masters in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Florence, Italy. She then completed her Ph.D. studies and post-Doc fellowship in Pharmaceutical Science at ETH in Zurich, Switzerland.
